Module Add/Drop Period for Summer Term, 2024-25

  1. The Module Add/Drop Period for Summer Term, 2024-25 will take place on 9-13 June 2025, during which students can add or drop modules through the Module Add/Drop System. You may find the System user guide here.

 

  1. Students can login to the Module Add/Drop Systemduring 9-13 June 2025 from 10:00 to 15:00 (Closure during weekend) to submit module add/drop application.

 

  1. All submitted add/drop applications will be processed by the system after 15:00 daily. If your add/drop application cannot be fulfilled on the first day, your application will be kept in the system for further matching and processing on the subsequent days. You must cancel your add/drop application if you NO LONGERwant it to be processed.

 

  1. The order of add/drop priority is as follows:

Submission Date > Seniority (Year of Study) > Submission Time

 

  1. To view the daily module add/drop result, students shall re-login to the Module Add/Drop System from 18:00 to 23:00 or the next day when the system opens for submission.

 

  1. All pending add/drop applications will remain in the system for further matching and processing. You must cancel your add/drop application(s) if you NO LONGER wish for them to be processed. Otherwise, there is a possibility that your “add” request may be matched at the last minute, leaving you no time to drop it.

 

  1. The updated list of modules of Summer Term, 2024-25 is available on the Module Plannerwhere you can check the availability of modules. The Module Planner will be updated daily by 18:00 during the Module Add/Drop Period.

 

  1. Students shall be solely responsible for their own timetables and are recommended to consult their Programme Officesif in doubt before submitting the add or drop applications. Please be reminded of the possible consequences, i.e. deferment of study/graduation, of inappropriate adding or dropping modules.

 

  1. No adding or dropping of module will be allowed after the Module Add/Drop Period. In this connection, students should be very careful when submitting the add/drop applications, and daily checking of the result status on the Module Add/Drop Systemby the students is important.

 

  1. You are strongly advised to first consult your Programme Officeshould you have any questions regarding your timetable and study plan to avoid unnecessary referrals. For enquiry with Registry, please state your questions clearly (and preferably with supporting documents) in emails. Meanwhile, you may find your answer in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on Module Registration and Module Add/Drop of the Registry website.
