Academic Regalia


Undergraduate Programmes

Gown: black gown in style specified by the University
Mortarboard: in style specified by the University
Hood: in colours that represent their respective School:

  • School of Business: Brown and Bright Gold
  • School of Communication: Navy and Bright Gold
  • School of Decision Sciences: Purple and Silver White
  • School of Humanities and Social Science: Dark Blue and Forest Green
  • School of Translation: Maroon and Forest Green

Hood

The University has appointed SimPro Studio as the official service provider to provide rental / purchase services of academic regalia to graduates for the sake of consistency of the University’s requirements of the academic regalia.

Graduates could approach other service providers to rent / purchase the academic regalia.  However, they may run the risk of having the academic regalia not fully comply with the University’s requirements. If students/graduates are found to have dressed in academic regalia that do not fully comply with the University’s requirements, they will not be allowed to participate in the Graduation Photo Day and Graduation Ceremony.

Transcript & Letter of Certification

For graduates who wish to apply for transcript of studies/letter of certification, please submit an application to the Registry.

Notes for Applicants

  • Please submit the completed application form to the Registry office.
  • Please allow at least 7 working days to process the application.
  • You may authorise a representative to collect the document(s) (by presenting the duly signed authorisation form, original/copy of your HKID and the HKID of the authorised representative).

Personal Information Collection Statement

  • The personal data provided on the application forms listed above will be used by the Registry for the purpose of processing respective applications.
  • Information provided on the forms may be transferred to other departments/administrative offices within HSMC for consideration and granting approval, where applicable.
  • Provision of information on the application forms is voluntary. However, failure to provide complete and accurate information will affect the provision of academic services to you.

In accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you have the right to request access to and correction of the information contained in your application. If you wish to do so, please submit your request in writing to the Registry (registry@hsu.edu.hk).


Graduation Certificate

Graduation certificates will be available for collection on and after the day of Graduation Ceremony, please present your HKID for collection in person. Details of the graduation certificate collection arrangement are as follows:

Collection Point on 5 December 2018

   Venue:                Auditorium, 2/F, Lee Quo Wei Academic Building

   Opening Hour:   10:30am-6:30pm

Collection Point from 6 December 2018 onwards

   Venue:               Registry Office, Room N101, 1/F, Block N

   Opening Hour:  9:00am-5:45pm (Monday to Friday, except public holiday)

 

You may authorise a representative to collect your graduation certificate (by presenting the duly signed authorisation form, original/copy of your HKID and the HKID of the authorised representative).

 


University Title Statements (for graduates with HSMC certificates issued before 30 October 2018)

Approval was given by the Chief Executive in Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region for Hang Seng Management College (HSMC) to change its name to The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) on 30 October 2018.

1. University Title Statement (without personal particulars)

The Registry is pleased to provide a standard University Title Statement (without personal particulars) for graduates with HSMC certificates issued before 30 October 2018. A soft copy has been sent to graduates via email by Advancement and Alumni Affairs Office. Please fill in the form here if you have not received one.

2. University Title Statement (with personal particulars)

Graduates with HSMC certificates issued before 30 October 2018 can apply for the University Title Statement (with personal particulars) (see Sample) with a fee of HK$100* per copy. Online application will be accepted in 2 phases:

* Application fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable. Online payment by credit card/PayPal is accepted.

The Statement will be ready for collection at the Registry during the opening hours 10 working days after successful submission of application. You may also authorise a representative to collect on your behalf by presenting the duly signed authorisation form, original/copy of your HKID and the HKID of the authorised representative.
