Mission and Services
The Registry is committed to provide quality services to students and staff in support of the University vision of aspiring to be a leading private liberal-arts-oriented university in the region, recognised for excellence in teaching, learning and research, serving and advancing our society and the world.
Our missions are:
- To devise and maintain up-to-date and applicable academic policies and regulations;
- To promote the compliance of the academic regulations at all levels of the University;
- To provide support to academic programmes for student recruitment and admission;
- To maintain accurate records on student data, academic progress and award to the highest confidentiality;
- To enhance the students’ learning experience from enrolment until award conferral; and
- To collaborate with academic departments on programme development, accreditation and quality assurance.
We provide services and support to students and staff of the University in the following areas:
- Academic information (University Catalogue, Academic Regulations and HSUHK Quality Assurance Manual)
- Student recruitment and admission
- Student registration, academic record and award
- Module registration, add/drop, class and examination scheduling
- Transcript and other academic certification
- Programme development, accreditation and quality assurance
- Academic events and ceremonies (Information Day, Summer Academy, Convocation for New Students, Graduation Ceremony, etc.)
- Secretariat of the Academic Board, Academic Planning and Development Committee, Admissions Committee, University Examinations and Assessment Committee, University Student Disciplinary Committee, Graduate Studies Committee, and University Staff-Student Consultative Committee
